Frequently Asked Questions from Our Patients
If you don't see your question listed here, please contact us directly for assistance.
What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
We do require 48-hour notification for cancellation of any appointment. Please call if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment – sometimes we can alter our clinic schedule to help you to avoid a late cancellation fee. We charge in full for missed appointments or late cancellation
I don’t live in Chicago. Do you treat patients from surrounding areas or other states?
Yes. We have many patients who drive, are driven by a relative or who take public transportation to be treated at our facility. We also do treat patients from other states at our Chicago facility. If distance or transportation is preventing you from being treated and feeling better, please contact us and perhaps we can offer some suggestions.
For out of town patients with Neuropsychiatric conditions, The Neuroscience Center and Pathfinder Brain SPECT Imaging provide the opportunity to have a full evaluation over a period of 3 days. See our Three Day Schedule for detailed information.
I’m coming in for treatment from out of town or out of state. Where can I stay?
The Neuroscience Center has arranged a corporate rate for patients who book at the following local hotel:
Holiday Inn Express – Click here to view rates.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites. 2600 Lake Cook Road Riverwoods, IL 60015
What will my treatment cost?
The fee for the initial consult is $450. This fee is inclusive with no additional or hidden charges. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
The Neuroscience Center provides a variety of cutting-edge treatments that address neurological disorders. Because each patient is a unique individual, it is impossible to provide treatment costs until a treatment plan has been developed.
The first step in this process is for you to have a simple phone or email conversation with our office. There is no charge for telling us about your history and challenges. If we can help you, we will suggest that you schedule an in-office exam at our center. If we cannot, we’ll do our best to make sure you are referred to someone who can help you.
Do you take my insurance?
Our cost in providing ketamine infusions and other therapies is not covered by any insurance companies to the extent necessary to meet expenses. Therefore, we do not participate in any insurance plans and will not bill them on your behalf. We do provide you with invoices that you may submit to your insurance plan. We will assist you in any way possible when submitting your claims for reimbursement, and we will do our best to help with pre-certification of services, or “doctor-to-doctor” phone calls.
UPDATE: We are extremely excited to announce that we are currently working on an arrangement that will cause insurance companies to cover our TMS/K Combination Therapy treatments!
Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
We do not, however our office may still be able to help you by referring you to an appropriate local provider who does.
Does your center provide rTMS or Ketamine Infusion Therapy?
Yes, but we also provide a combination therapy that we devised here on-site. For severe cases it is faster and more potently effective than either treatment alone.
